FiREapps HISTORY

More than Three Decades of FX Analysis and Proficiency

SEASONED FX INSIGHT COUPLED WITH A STARTUP MINDSET

FiREapps is the leader in using currency analytics to help multinationals negotiate global currency volatility.

The evolution of FiREapps can be traced back to 1987 when FiREapps founders – Wolfgang Koester and Corey Edens – first collaborated in Switzerland, drawing on their expertise in FX risk management, data analytics and software to help corporations fully leverage data to better manage FX risk.  In 2000, Koester and Edens took the next logical step, establishing Risk Management Techniques (Rim Tec) in Scottsdale, AZ, to help their growing roster of international corporate clients save millions of dollars in FX-related costs and financial impacts.

In 2005, Rim Tec launched FiREapps – the first data-based, SaaS FX risk-management resource — to provide board members, C-level execs and treasury professionals with full, real-time visibility into an enterprise’s currency exposure and risk. Initially, a single solution, FiREapps evolved into a suite of solutions that treasury executives could rely on to fully manage currency risk.
