Flexible approach to reporting balances and reviewing output results

FiREapps provides a suite of cloud-based big data analytics that enable corporate treasury and finance organizations to better understand and manage foreign exchange exposures based on accurate, complete and timely data. FiREapps uses data from SAP and forecasting processes to provide in-depth insight into what currencies a company is doing business in, what exposure and risk is created by those currencies, and provides decision support analytics that identify the most cost effective way to manage those exposures and risks.

The FiREapps Extract 3.0 is an ABAP program that generates an output file from the SAP general ledger life-to-date balances for all general ledger balance sheet accounts as of a specified fiscal period, and open items as of the specified period for all open-item-managed accounts and customer/vendor reconciliation accounts. Balances are summarized by company, account, document currency, and trading partner. Several parameters are provided to allow a flexible approach to reporting balances and reviewing output results.

Once the FiREapps Extract 3.0 has been deployed, users will navigate to the FiREapps program in SAP and select a variant or enter variant parameters to suit their situation. The program can be run in foreground or in background with output sent to the ALV or spooled for later download. Once the program has completed, a user will download the result file in Excel format to their desktop, login to FiREapps and subsequently upload the file to their client staging area in preparation for exposure analysis. The files created by FiREapps Extract 3 can be securely uploaded using both manual and automatic methods.
