Substantial adoption of enterprise applications through a SaaS delivery model and an ever increasing positive reception to the use of the Web as a delivery mechanism for information of all kinds, has put SaaS at the forefront of the technology sector agenda. While traditional SaaS vendors focused on simply delivering software through a Web browser interface, the next generation of SaaS leverages the real-time interactivity of the Internet to provide a dynamic offering that combines technology with services. Financial services providers, like FiREapps are already on the cutting edge of implementing this next generation of SaaS. This panel will be an opportunity for software vendors to learn how to extend this vision to their vertical industries.

“Though SaaS is a significant trend in the software industry, FiREapps is one of the first vendors offering a SaaS application to corporate treasury departments,” said Anderson. “FiREapps was architected from day one as a SaaS application, which enabled us to build in the necessary high availability, reliability and security features while providing our customers with technology and services that enable them to understand and manage their foreign exchange exposures in a timely fashion without IT involvement.”
