FiREapps CEO to Present at Thunderbird Garvin School of International Management on Corporate Foreign Exchange Best Practices

Wolfgang Koester Invited to Share Best Practices for Corporate Foreign Exchange Management at Nation’s Top International Business School

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — November 1, 2006 — FiREapps, the leading provider of Corporate Foreign Exchange Management Technologies, announced today that CEO Wolfgang Koester has been invited by his alma mater, Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management, to address students on the best practices for Corporate Foreign Exchange Management. For the sixth consecutive year, Thunderbird was named the number one International Business School by the Wall Street Journal 2006 survey.

Unlike other areas of accounting and finance, there is little structured education and training for foreign exchange managers at colleges and universities. As a result, foreign exchange managers have been left to their own creativity, instincts and the use of spreadsheets to record and understand their company’s foreign exchange exposure.

Dean of Thunderbird faculty and professor of International Banking and Finance, John Mathis, invited Koester to share with future finance executives the business and technology trends impacting foreign exchange risk management. “Thunderbird is committed to preparing our students with the most cutting-edge knowledge and tools to ensure their success,” said Mathis. “We are pleased to offer industry veteran, Koester, the opportunity to translate his years of foreign exchange experience into repeatable best practices that will arm the treasurers, controllers, corporate tax managers and foreign exchange managers of tomorrow.”

“With the combined revenue for the Fortune 1000 for April 2006 including an estimated $590 to $690 billion of value at risk due to international currency fluctuations, the consequences of not managing foreign exchange currencies can be severe. The goal of this presentation and the recently launched FXBestPractices website is to increase corporations’ sophistication and acumen for managing this foreign exchange risk,” said Koester. “Once again, Thunderbird is demonstrating its ongoing leadership in developing the skill sets needed to succeed in today’s global business environment.”
