RimTec, Inc., with corporate offices in Scottsdale, AZ, is a cutting edge software development company best known for its FiREapps™ System. RimTec has a web-hosted Foreign Exchange Management solution, which provides powerful web-analytics and decision management technologies for financial managers in many large companies. We have an opportunity for a Sr. Risk Management Consultant, who will work as a member of the Professional Services team, and must be located in either the Chicago or Phoenix area.

Reporting to the Vice President, Professional Services, the Sr. Risk Management Consultant will have responsibility for supporting the sales organization in the sales process as necessary regarding solution implementation, and he/she will actively engage with the client to implement and support the FiREapps solution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engages with the prospect as needed in the sales process, providing information on solution implementation and gaining understanding of client needs.
  • Engages with the client in the analysis of data, implementation of the solution, and interpretation of data provided by the software.
  • Maintains an ongoing relationship with assigned clients providing support and understanding of how to manage their financial risks and meet compliance requirements.
  • Provides support to the Vice President, Professional Services in the development of methodology and the FiREapps certification process.
  • Provides application training to clients and new team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Five to eight years within an accounting or management consultancy, or experience as a sr. level industry practitioner with foreign currency exchange expertise.
  • Five to eight years experience in one or more of the following functional areas:
    • Treasury Accounting: Accounting for treasury transactions including derivatives, debt, and investments in a corporation or financial institution
    • Auditing: Experience in an internal audit department, external audit firm with exposure to the controls and the substantive based testing of a treasury function
    • Accounting Policy Development: Analyzing financial structures and developing accounting policies and practices under US GAAP
    • Treasury Operations: Global cash management, financial risk management particular through the use of derivatives and cross-border transactions, use of treasury systems (such as Trema and SunGard), and debt vs. equity management
  • Has project management experience
  • Strong understanding of FAS 52, FAS 133, accounting policy and application
  • High level of experience in Sarbanes-Oxley Act section 404 implementation and attestation
  • Strong understanding of derivative use, derivative valuation theory, and modern finance theory
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross functional client service team
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, and working knowledge of accounting systems and web based applications such as SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Wall Street Systems, FiREapps, Reval, and/or JD Edwards
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation
  • Ability to manage several large concurrent engagements and achieve high impact results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to drive quality through the organization
  • Ability to travel an average of 50% of the time
