RimTec, Inc., with corporate offices in Scottsdale, AZ, is a cutting edge software development company best known for its FiREapps™ System. RimTec has a web-hosted Foreign Exchange Management solution, which provides powerful web-analytics and decision management technologies for financial managers in many large companies. We have an opportunity for a Pre-Sales Consultant, who can be located in either the Phoenix or Chicago area and be associated with our office in either location.

The Sr. Pre-Sales Consultant will have responsibility for assessing client needs, determining how the FiREapps solution can impact the business, and will support the sales organization throughout the sales cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Consults with prospective clients on compliance issues and potential problems they have within their accounting organizations related to compliance and treasury risk management.
  • Determines potential impact of the FiREapps solution and provides support to the Sales Team in customizing the sales presentation to meet client needs.
  • Working with marketing, this position will develop customized solution presentations for the prospect environment.
  • Presents the FiREapps solution in prospect meetings, and handles questions and follow up as needed.
  • Develops and presents the solution at trade meetings, webinars, and other client facing engagements.
  • Maintains an ongoing relationship with assigned clients providing support and understanding of how to manage their financial risks and meet compliance requirements throughout the sales cycle.

Job Requirements

  • Five to eight years of work within an accounting or management consultancy or work experience supporting or selling treasury and accounting software/services.
  • Experience with selling or supporting the sale of software/services sold to financial/accounting areas of large corporations.
  • Experience in team-based selling with a consulting approach to the sales process
  • It is desired that the candidate has an understanding of accounting policy and application and accounting practices under US GAAP
  • It is desired that the candidate has an understanding of the application of Sarbanes-Oxley Act section 404 and has understanding of derivative use, derivative valuation theory, and modern finance theory
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross functional team
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, and working knowledge of accounting systems and web based applications such as SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Wall Street Systems, FiREapps, Reval, and/or JD Edwards
  • Preference for accounting work experience, credentials of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts in various stages of the sales process
  • Able to travel 50-75% of the time
